Compensation Stirling Benefits offers administrative services through licensed professionals. These producers understand the environment and share a common goal to bring cost-effective strategies to the market for the benefit of their clients. They have high expectations for prompt, reliable service and look for relationships that will help build their business. Our producers benefit from us, and generally spend less time on employee issues allowing more time to work directly with the employer “decision makers” on data analysis, benefit offerings, and solutions to meet short and long-term business objectives. Compensation for producer services is based on a consulting approach. The amount of compensation paid by the plan will depend on the services provided by the producer. We recommend the annual amount of compensation be fixed at the start of the plan year through a contract with the employer. Under this approach, the plan sponsor knows what services will be provided, the amount of compensation due, and the agent has a contractual right to the consulting fee for the entire year preventing an AOR change mid year. Generally, the agent assists in designing the plan, reviewing the contracts, working with Stirling to approve custom employee communication packages, presenting the new plan at employee communication meetings, meeting with Stirling staff to review the plans claim experience, meeting with the employer client to go over potential plan changes, presenting alternative plan designs and costs and assisting with problem resolution.
